Hello Seahorse class! What an excellent start back to the home learning summer term and I have had lots of fantastic examples of home learning sent my way already. Have a look to see if you can spot your own and see what some of your friends have been up to.

Wow! I'm am just so impressed with how well you are doing with your home learning. I think you all deserve a very earned rest. I hope you have a fantastic Easter break and do lots of fun activities with your family.

A last minute photograph before the holidays. Look who's popped up to share a smile and say hello!

Week beginning 23.03.2020

Well what an unexpected and unusual week for Seahorse class! The learning this week for Seahorse class may have changed its setting but it certainly hasn't stopped!

I hope you are  listening carefully to those helping with your work and helping out around the house, but most of all enjoying some time with your families and doing lots of fun activities together. Maybe some of you have even got out into a garden to enjoy some of this beautiful sunshine.

I thought it would be nice to share a few of the wonderful photographs that I have received this week and we can share in our achievements and catch up with what our friends have been doing.

Hard at work with his fractions, but still finding some time to do some planting in the sunshine...

Look who is also out enjoying the warm weather! Exploring whilst having his daily fresh air and exercise.

Lots of beautifully presented work from Olivia S and she also completed a large jigsaw with flags from around the world and created her very own newspaper. 

Oliver D has sent me a very carefully coloured picture of a bird which really brightened my day! Also, lots of tricky work has been going on in Oliver's house.

Some beautiful artwork. This time inspired by Ancient Greek Mosaics. Making good use of Lego here to show a really good understanding of contractions.

I just had to share a copy of this fantastic writing describing a setting I have been sent. Who does it belong to? Look at the pictures below for a clue!

Circling the mountain are calm white clouds. In the mountainside there is a hole which means you can go inside the mountain. On top of the mountain is a small village of three houses. One of the houses has a lift, powered by slaves, on the side of the house. The frog green mountain stands tall but unstable, because of the village and the hole in its side. In front of the rocky mountain are stones as tall and as sharp as spears, meaning nobody can get out of the village, no matter how hard they try. The smell of dead birds lingers around the village, because that’s all they can catch to eat. Swooping gently around the mountain is an eagle, who helps the villagers catch other birds. What will happen when all the other birds are gone? Will they eat the eagle?

It's brilliant to see you making such good use of your time whether it be having some fun or topping up your learning. Keep up the great work Seahorse class!
