Week Beginning 10.07.17

The week started with a treat with a football skills teacher visiting to give each class a master class in ball skills.

ICT

We have really enjoyed our IT topic of programming this term, as we have used algorithms to create our own game using KODU. This week we played our completed games, found other similar games and wrote comparison reviews.

Maths

This week we have been tackling problems involving scale. We worked out how much larger certain rain forest animals would be whilst working to a set scale; and made a fruit cocktail by scaling down a recipe.

Some of us moved on to our last lesson of shape for the year: making 3D shapes. We created skeleton shapes using pipe cleaners and straw; folded card shapes from nets and looked carefully at the shapes of the faces to build some out of polygon.

In other news...

A massive well done to all those children in the seahorse class who went out for their first graduation. What a fantastic achievement!
Finally, we look forward to seeing as many friends and family as possible at our end of year viola performance in the school hall at 11:30am Monday 17th July.
