Literacy
This week in literacy we have been doing lots of reading. Practising our skills hunting for information, deducing and inferring and summarising a range of texts.
Maths
Maths has been all about data this week. We looked at wide range of objects thinking how we could group and categorise them.
We decided it was much easier learning about picotgrams when smarties were involved! We used them to generate a large data set then learnt how to create a pictogram. Then, we used our skills of analysis to interpret different pictograms.
Science
We continued looking at nutrition by thinking further about healthy foods. We compared food groups and created nutrient pyramids.
It's a busy week next week with lots to remember. Please can all children have their P.E kits in school on Monday ready for our visit from a real Olympic gymnast and cirque de soleil performer. We will all have some time with her doing sporting activities, before an assembly with Marissa King.
P.E kits will be sent home on Monday, so that children can arrive in their kit, with their team coloured t-shirt all ready for sports day on Tuesday. All parents and carers are welcome to attend in the afternoon for the big event.
Don't forget to book your place for the annual school BBQ. Letters were sent out Thursday. Please return your slip by Wednesday 21st June so we can get your tickets out to you.
